Experts from HarvestPlus will showcase biofortification and its success in Africa during next week’s annual conference of the Regional Strategic Analysis and Support System (ReSAKSS) in Accra, Ghana. The experts will also outline a vision for scaling up biofortification on the continent and around the world.

Convened by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) in partnership with the African Union, the 2016 ReSAKSS Conference aims to promote review and dialogue on the implementation agenda of the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP). It will bring together policymakers, development partners, researchers, advocacy groups, farmers’ organizations, the private sector, and other key stakeholders from within and outside Africa.

The conference will run from October 18-20 under the theme “Achieving a Nutrition Revolution for Africa: The Road to Healthier Diets and Optimal Nutrition.”
