Rewa Misra is the Head of National Policy and Innovative Financing at HarvestPlus, where she drives the scale-up of biofortification through policy development and strategic partnerships with governments and multilateral financial institutions. Rewa works on policy research projects under the Scaling for Impact and Food Frontiers and Security Science programs, focusing on creating public-private investment models and technical support frameworks for nutrition and climate-smart agriculture.

Before joining HarvestPlus, Rewa led a $200 million rural and agriculture financing portfolio at the MasterCard Foundation in Toronto. A development economist by training, Rewa holds a master’s degree from Georgetown University and is pursuing her PhD in Economic Sciences from the University of Göttingen, Germany, specializing in climate-smart agriculture.
