On the occasion of International Women’s Day, HarvestPlus would like to pay tribute to women around world for their immense contribution to improved nutrition in their families and communities. From Bangladesh to Zambia, women are playing key roles in the adoption and consumption of biofortified nutritious crops.
With their tenacity, industry, and creativity, they are fuelling our success in target countries, where 3 million households are now growing and consuming biofortified crops. Women are integral to our efforts to scale up biofortified crops to reach 15 million households by 2020. We are proud to pledge for parity.
