Improving Lives with Nutritious Crops and Foods in 2020: Digital Feature
HarvestPlus and its partners strive to provide better nutrition through staple crops to millions of smallholder farming families. We have kept our focus on this goal amidst the devastating COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
With farmers around the world facing a multitude of challenges from accessing biofortified seeds to saving their harvest during the lockdown period, we continued to serve them with innovative solutions and ensured that income streams were flowing. In a digital feature, we have compiled a few messages from our beneficiaries across continents whose lives were positively impacted this year.
We will continue our work in 2021 to reach millions more farming families in low- and middle-income countries with staple crops that are naturally enriched with vitamins and minerals essential for good health and strong immune systems.
