Twelve varieties of iron lentil have been released across Bangladesh, India, Nepal, and Syria. Iron lentil varieties were first released 2010 in Bangladesh and Syria. Iron Lentil varieties are developed in partnership with the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA).
