Biofortification Featured in Leading Publication on International Nutrition
The United Nations System Standing Committee on Nutrition (UNSCN) features biofortification in the latest edition of its flagship publication, UNSCN News.
The current edition is dedicated to the UN Decade of Action on Nutrition (2016-2025) and provides a platform for experts to share lessons and insights.
In the biofortification paper, HarvestPlus founding director and World Food Prize Laureate Howarth Bouis asserts the role of this agriculture-based strategy in realizing the goals of the Nutrition Decade and offers recommendations for its scale-up and impact.
