The global nutrition community converges on Rome, Italy, from December 1-2 to share solutions and successful country experiences in implementing sustainable food systems for healthy diets.

Biofortification is on the agenda; HarvestPlus Senior Monitoring, Learning and Evaluation Specialist Bho Mudyahoto will share our experience promoting biofortified vitamin A-rich orange sweet potato and iron beans in Uganda.

The session falls under the symposium’s sub-theme 1: Supply side policies and measures for diversifying food production and for increasing availability and affordability of nutrition foods for healthy diets.

The symposium is co-organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the World Health Organization.
