Farmers in Rwanda have been enjoying the benefits of high-iron beans since 2011. These biofortified varieties are enriching the lives of farming families with better nutrition and improved livelihood opportunities.
Thanks to our strong partnership with the Rwanda Agriculture Board (RAB) and the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), Rwandan farmers can now choose from ten different varieties of iron beans to suit their tastes and environments.
